Round 4 Pictures

Fingers (gloves!) crossed, ready to go..

Competitors gather behind the route opener for the controlled recce

The two prime contenders for the Overall Championship, Yogesh Lakhani (right) and Rajan Sidhu (left) silently weigh each other outside the Parc Ferme, before attacking the track.

Yogesh Lakhani gets flagged off for Lap 1. He clearly displayed his intent of pulverizing the competition in this final round of the Championship by setting the fastest lap time of 10:36 in this lap itself

Rajan Sidhu tried really hard to displace Yogesh from his pedestal, and ended the first lap with a second fastest time of 10:46

The surprise in the first lap was sprung by Chirag Thakur from Shimla, a Group D rider who has vastly improved in every round and was displaying speeds here faster than almost all the Group C bikes! He was the third fastest rider of the day of with a time 10:51. Superb riding Chirag!! =D> Here is Chirag negotiating the very slippery downhill tarmac.

Aneesh was here to prove a point, a rider who has taken the Shimla Motorcycle Challenge by storm on a stock Pulsar 180 in his first motor sport event and proved to be a real threat to even the Group C bikes! However an off just before the finish of the first lap pushed Aneesh to a time of 10:57..here he is storming the first downhill tarmac.

Rupinder Singh from Solan, another very talented rider and the prime contender for 3rd position in the Group C Championship, set the 4th fastest time of the day (10:53) in the first lap again.

Rupinder's brother, Rominder Singh from Solan, negotiates the slippery tarmac.

Yogesh (01), Rajan (02) and Abhimanyu Sharma (09) await to charge through Lap 2

Abhimanyu tackles the downhill tarmac.

Gaurav Pratap Singh in Lap 2

Another Chandigarh rider who displayed marked improvement in this Round was Sandeep Singh, with some excellent times.

Aneesh continued his Round two woes and broke down in the stage due to electrical trouble. He was flying till that happened.
